Thank you for sharing your successful experiences with online IPE teaching modules! The pandemic has certainly shown that Faculty and learners ability to adapt! I was wondering if there are plans to collaborate with other Universities to include medical students? At my University (I am in Atlantic Canada), I did a longitudinal critical ethnography with a cohort of medical students and there were issues with hierarchy and power working in IPE team sessions-did those issues arise in your work? Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jinelle. That you for your question. We are hoping to develop some simulation based IPE and invite medical students to take part in that. It would be great to have medical students involved. In terms of readiness to engage in IPE, yes our experiences reflect the literature in that some students appear more ready than others to engage in IPE activities. We have found that this seems to relate to professional group, age and gender. We have done some work that suggests confidence could be a contributing factor to what we have observed. We are hoping to develop that work further.
